Terms such as ‘hag’, ‘crone’ and ‘witch’, are derogatory terms for women who are aging. In the past these identities held power and were fear or revered. Drawing on the historical use of the ‘witch bottle’, these bottles are designed to ‘catch’ these current negative connotations and re-story them— drawing on the past and creating positive narratives about aging.
